I usually write on Thursdays, but I'm just too excited about what Google's new image model, known everywhere as 🍌 nano banana, enables. I couldn't wait to share a sneak peek of my personal compilation of fun and mind-bending things I've been trying out.

There have been so many amazing demos and ideas floating around, and I've loved rolling up my sleeves and testing them myself. This is my personally curated collection of ideas and prompts I've tried firsthand. I hope you find it fun and inspiring - enough to try things out for yourself! I also want to call out that this is more than just another image generation model. It's a leap forward in creative control, and for me, a few things really stand out:

Seamless Composition: You can weave multiple images or objects into a single, cohesive reality.
Conversational Editing: Refine your work through natural dialogue ("Rotate the bottle by 30 degrees counterclockwise"), not complex tools.
Intuitive Control: It understands spatial directions and context, knowing what "there" or "in front of" means in a picture.
World-Aware Intelligence: It applies real-world knowledge to create authentic, believable results (like adding weather that's true to a specific location).

That said, let's be clear: this model isn't perfect. It will absolutely make mistakes. Sometimes the first prompt doesn't land quite right, and iterating or rephrasing your idea is part of the creative process. But it's important to remember that as impressive as it is today, this is the worst this technology will ever be. And that, for me, is the most exciting part of all.
