Hi Jaclyn! I absolutely love your idea of “writing in public”, because it’s the first time I’ll read a book in real time, or almost simultaneously as the author (you) write it. 🤯
Maybe setting a higher standard not buying into Digital ID etc among AI developers is crazy in today's world. Ho big or go home is my motto. And women have a better sense of family and community values, missing today. Use your gifts well. I was considered crazy as an early advocate for our new Catholic MEDIA Network and Fintech Platform to address violence against children globally with Sponsors and Investors to help scale Not for Profits globally. Now we are pitching Catholic world leaders. Always looking for wise, Godly counselors. We are looking for Minority Equity Tech Partners now. We have our Specs and they are crazy good.
Here's some questions, if you could include in the book. Probably part of Part 1:
where's the new boundary between PM, Design and Engineering when all three can basically do everything with AI? What's the new framework to prioritize when you can build everything and ship at lightning fast speed? essentially how do you think new features will come about when all customer pain points are solved real-time?
Kind of a look in the future while addressing current changes
Great questions - one of them is a perfect addition to Chapter 1 (working on that right now), the others can also slot in to later sections in the book (I've noted these down for those future chapters). Thanks for asking these!
Of those choices, I prefer "The Builder's Compass." It's concrete and visual. However, the challenge for all of these titles is that they don't mention the most important thing, which is ... well, one way to put it is "how to PM in an AI world." So, even "The Builder's New Compass" would at least tell me that I'm looking at something new. Or, riffing on that, "The Builder's Compass Is Broken (and <something>)." To make it clear you're going to ask people to take on a new way of thinking.
Thanks! Just finished adding some more thoughts to the first chapter which will have some actual examples in it! And this was a good reminder to double down on that aspect of the book (I'll make sure to incldue as many real world examples as I can)!
I voted for "The Builder's Instinct." A modification of that could be "The Builder's Intuition." Whichever term signals that the builder has had enough experience to anticipate and imagine how things might proceed. Congrats on the book plan!!
I love the working title but would like to suggest a variation. The Builder’s Compass: A Practitioner’s Playbook for Building Standout 0-to-1 AI Products.
Emphasis on the standout aspect. Where the differentiated and unique thinking of Jaclyn comes through and inspires others to build awesome AI products.
Hi Jaclyn,
Amazing idea...
A name suggestion:
The Builder’s Code: A New Way to Build with AI
Basically, it is not a developer's code. Anyone can build now. And code also signifies principles of how things are done, not just programming.
Oh this is fun and clever - adding the name to the list!

Name suggestions:
- Building AIdeas
- (P)² - From Prompt to Product
Thanks for the name suggestions - and thanks in advance for reading the book as I write it!
Okay now I'm gonna try to think of the best name all day..... I'd assume there will be a little pressure writing this "live"... couldn't imagine.
Maybe a page or two dedicated when to take advice at a roadblock and when to trust your own intuition would be interesting.
Love this! Vulnerable and bold! No ego. All soul. Go girl. I'm in.
Thanks :) It feels a little crazy to do, but this is the year for trying some crazy things!

Great point - I think a subtitle is needed in all of these to make it more tractable and grounded!
Practical stories from the wild are always appreciated. Excited to read it soon!

this is such a cool idea!! excited to see it happen
Same...it's going to be quite the experiment!

Ooooo, I like "The Builder's Intuition" - will add that to the list!

Will you be covering AI safety?
