What a way to end the year.

December is usually a time for winding down, but the last two weeks have been some of the busiest - and most rewarding - of 2025. My team executed three major product launches, I joined two podcast conversations, and I had the privilege of delivering a keynote to a room full of innovators.

It’s been a marathon, but the good kind. As we head into the holidays, I wanted to share the highlights and the tools we’ve put out into the world.

The Product Launches

1. Mixboard Presentations: From Mess to Memory

Last Monday, we rolled out a massive update to Mixboard. The core promise is simple: take a messy board full of scattered ideas and transform it into a cohesive, visually stunning presentation with a single click.

I’ve been using this personally to catalogue family memories. I threw a bunch of photos and notes from a recent Yosemite hike onto a board, and Mixboard turned it into a structured narrative.

Yosemite Hiking

I did the same for a trip to the zoo for my husband’s birthday.

It’s not just about making slides; it’s about turning a pile of inputs into a story. And it can apply to so many different types of presentations!

2. Pomelli Video Ads: One-Click Animation

On Wednesday, we updated Pomelli with video capabilities. You can now take a static creative and animate it instantly.

I’ve been testing this on my side project,notsosimplesalads.com. Seeing the ingredients come to life adds a layer of polish that used to take me hours in editing software. Now, it takes seconds.

And here’s how it works:

3. Opal-Powered Gems in Gemini

Two days ago, we brought the power of Opal directly into the Gemini App. This allows you to create AI Mini Apps to automate workflows.

My favorite use case so far? The Merry Mailer.

I built a Gem that takes a photo and a spreadsheet of names/messages. It transforms the photo into a watercolor painting and writes a custom message for each person based on my notes. It turned a tedious holiday chore into something creative and fun.

The Conversations

I also had the chance to sit down for two podcast episodes. The links aren’t live yet, but I’ll share them when they drop.

  • The Founder’s Foyer with Aishwarya Ashok: We dug into the intersection of product management and creativity, specifically how I use AI with my kids to spark their imagination.

  • The Neuron: We geeked out on Mixboard. I somehow ended up generating an image of a jello dragon breathing fire over a gingerbread castle. It was ridiculous, hilarious, and a perfect testament to how fun these tools can be. (I couldn’t make that up if I tried).

The Keynote: Think Bigger

To cap it all off, I gave the keynote at the Google.org Accelerator: Generative AI Graduation. My talk was titled “Think Bigger.” It was inspiring to be in a room with people using these technologies to solve real, human problems.

To everyone who has been following along on Substack this year: Thank you. It’s been a blast building in public with you.

See you in 2026!
