When you think you're going to read a lot of technical know-how and new tools proficiency, you'll find that most of the core skills for product managers still apply. Thank you for the great resume and for reminding some of us PMs not to fall into the AI hype trap.

“They are master storytellers who can articulate a product's "why" with such clarity and passion that it motivates.. a crucial for taking others on the journey of building the future.”

This is my favourite quote here! Thanks for sharing your insight, its highlighted soft skills to hone. Good luck on your search!

Really enjoyed this first part. The framing around taste, craft, and user-centricity hit home. After years building consumer products, I've seen plenty of technically strong PMs who lack that design sensibility, and it almost always shows up in the experience. IMHO a PM who brings that craft mindset is a massive unlock in 0-to-1 products and in small, innovative teams. Thanks for putting this so clearly, running to Part 2 now :)

The best product people I've worked with could translate technical capability into business value in a single sentence.

That clarity is rare. Especially in AI.
